Do I need a partner to take the classes?
No you don’t need to register with a partner unless the class specifically states it’s a couples workshop
Where are the studios located?
The studio is located at 96 33rd St. East. Enter in Tech box doors and come upstairs
Where should I park?
Please park in the front of the building.
What are your office hours?
Office Hours commence September 9th to June 6th and we are available over email, text, or phone call only. To book an in person appointment, please email admin@saskatoonsalsa.com
Studio Hours: Monday - Thursday 4:00-8:00pm
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept e-transfer and credit cards. We do not accept debit. Please refer to the registration page for up-to-date information on payment and registration procedures.
Spectators
Can I bring my children to my adult classes?
We do not allow children in adult classes.
Can I observe a class?
Sorry, we do not allow spectators in any of our classes
What should I wear to class?
Rec Partner Classes
Wear whatever you are comfortable dancing in. Please bring CLEAN, non-scuffing indoor shoes (dance heels, flats, or even socks work fine. Dress shoes for men) and bring a water bottle. We do not recommend runners.
Ladies Classes
We recommend you wear workout or yoga clothing. For footwear we recommend CLEAN, non-scuffing flats, jazz shoes, ballet flats, jazz runners, or ballroom heels. Bring a water bottle.
Children’s Performance Classes
Black body suit, black shorts with tights or black leggings, hair should be pulled back tight in a pony tail or bun, salsa heels/men’s ballroom shoes or jazz shoes must be worn at all times. Bring a water bottle.
What is your food and drink policy in the studio?
Only water is permitted in the studio space, no food allowed
Grievances/Complaints

Do you offer drop in classes?
We do not offer drop in classes
What if I miss the first class?
If you registered after the first class has passed, no need to worry. Simply let your instructor know at the beginning of the following class and they can help get you caught up.
Student Behaviour and Expectations
All participants are expected to be respectful, show focus and have an exceptional amount of fun. We reserve the right to remove students from class with no notice if said student is behaving in an aggressive or inappropriate manner.
What are the cancellation policies?
Rec Classes, Workshops, and Events
Due to limited class sized, no refunds or credits will be offered. Transfers to other scheduled courses allowed only if available and the students meets the criteria. If transferring a course registration to another person, this person must meet the criteria, review our policies and fill out a registration form.
In the event that the government Covid-19 regulations require Saskatoon Salsa Dance Co. to cease in-person operations, refunds and credit will be given for the remainder of your session.
Performance Class Cancellations
Performance Class Cancellations must be received in writing 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester to receive a 50% refund. Transfers to other scheduled courses allowed only if available and the students meets the criteria. If transferring a course registration to another person, this person must meet the criteria, review our policies and fill out a registration form.
In the event that government Covid regulations require Saskatoon Salsa Dance Co. to cease in-person operations again, classes will be moved online via Zoom for a MAXIMUM of 4 weeks. After the 4 weeks of Zoom, we will take a break and then schedule make up classes for any time that was missed.
Can I transfer classes or event tickets to someone else’s name?
Transfers to other scheduled courses allowed only if available and the students meets the criteria. If transferring a course registration to another person, this person must meet the criteria, review our policies and fill out a registration form.
Refunds/Credits/Gift Cards/Late Payments
Due to limited space, we do not offer refunds or credits on rec classes or event purchases. Due to limited scheduling, we cannot offer "make up" classes if you miss one when purchasing a course.
What dates are payments due and what is the penalty for a late payment?
Performance class payments are due on the 1st of each month.
Late charges of $25 will be applied if a payment is missed. Rec class payments must be paid in full before the start of the course.
Minimum Participants Policy
We require a minimum of 6 participants to run a class. If low enrolment occurs, registered students will be notified 24 hours in advance and given a full refund or given the option to switch classes.
Please respect the choreography copyright policy of our studio.
All choreography offered is copyright to SSDC and their instructors and may not be used without permission. This includes videotaping at events and lessons.
All students and/or guardians must sign a liability waiver before the first class.
